In this article, we will guide you step by step:
Step 1: Adjust the squeegee’s balance.
Step 2: Adjust the squeegee’s overall height.
Step 3: Ready to scrub.

When does the squeegee need to be adjusted?

The squeegee of a floor scrubber collects and guides the water to the scrubber’s vacuum to be collected after scrubbing.

If your scrubber is not able to pick up all of the water behind, or if it is wearing out too quickly or getting too much vacuum with a trumpeting sound, it might need to be adjusted.

How to adjust the squeegee?

Let’s see how to step by step to adjust the squeegee of CY Rider Scrubber DC860.

First, adjust the balance of squeegee kit (Even pressure from tip to tip)

Loosen this screw first.
After loosening, this plate can be adjusted up and down.
Normally, you just need to adjust the balance slightly downward.

Then, turn the electronic brake knob all the way.

Put the squeegee down alone while the machine can be pushed forward. and push the machine forward a bit.

Now the squeegee strips are touching the ground on both left and right sides, but not in the middle.

Now loosen the nut first, and loose the screw with a 17# wrench, then tighten it slightly if necessary.

After that adjust this slot.

you can adjust the metal plate of the squeegee after you loosen the screw.
and adjust it to the appropriate position, and then tighten the screw.

Now, the squeegee strip in the middle will be a little too low. and we need to adjust it back a little.

Loosen this screw, since the suction metal plate was adjusted a little low in the middle now, we just need to pull it back a little.

Then tighten this screw.

Now the whole squeegee strip is adjusted to be just good with the left, right, and middle sides of the squeegee touching the ground.

Second, adjust the overall height of the squeegee kit.

Now that the balance has been adjusted, but the overall height of the squeegee is a bit too low.

We have a knob here that adjusts the overall height of the squeegee.
Screw it in like this and the squeegee will rise as a whole.

Now we turn on the vacuum function button, and it will increase the pressure. Let’s push the machine forward and see how it is going.

You can see that the squeegee is almost on the ground, and it is in good status of absorbing water now.

So remember that this is for adjusting the balance of the squeegee kit, and this one is a knob that adjusts the overall height of the squeegee kit.

At last, tighten the screws and nuts when the adjustments are complete.

Now let’s give it a try to see if it is just good to go. We found the answer is yes.

Now tighten the screws and the nuts after adjusting the balance and height of the squeegee.

After that, loosen the electronic brake which has been locked. Then you can’t push it forward anymore.

Now, the scrubber is good to go for work.

If your scrubber is not able to pick up all of the water behind, or if it is wearing out too quickly or getting too much vacuum with a trumpeting sound, it might need to adjust the squeegee balance and height.
